Payments
If a facilities request is confirmed, payment can be a secondary action. A simple flow is: confirm alignment and availability by email, then send a payment request. If paid, the time is held. If not paid within an agreed window, the hold expires.
General Guidance
Availability should function as a shared capacity layer across The Stay and Equine Services. It is not the sole booking page, but as much as possible, I’d like it to show availability as discussed as if something is available and a person wants to book the facilities rental, we show a soft book until I confirm through email inquiry. I think overall, the Equine availability should be expressed through status indicators (e.g., “limited,” “by arrangement,” “currently full”) with inquiry-based calls to action. All equine-related availability links should route back to Equine Services or Contact, not bypass them. And, the bookings via AirBnB should show on the same calendar, without personal information but also show differently from equine.
Given the above, I know we spoke about Paypal or other forms of online payment. Could that be a secondary action? Eg: some inquires for Equine Services (facilities, etc), I confirm alignment, use, and availability, and then on that confirmation, I sent them a request for payment? If paid, I hold, if not paid in x-days, I cancel, type of thing? Thoughts? You have way more experience than I do with web-sites and flows. I just don’t want it to feel “marketing & sales driven”.
The Stay
Status first. Booking happens after confirmation.
Guest House
Limited availability
Updated 2026-01-31
Guest House openings vary by season. Booking is completed via AirBnB once a date is confirmed.
If we confirm a date fits capacity and rhythm, booking is completed via AirBnB. We keep details calm and simple.
Equine Services
Equine availability is limited and varies throughout the year based on care capacity, seasonal conditions, and compatibility with ranch operations.
Facility Use
(plus Mirror Ranch confirmation)
Scheduled selectively
Facility Use (Haul-In / Day Access)
By arrangement and self-service
(plus Mirror Ranch confirmation)
Scheduled selectively.
Availability does not imply suitability. All equine access is confirmed through inquiry to ensure alignment with the ranch environment.
This quietly protects you.
